Process of User Onboarding
- User receives an Email:
- Upon being added to the system, users will receive a welcome email from the IAM system administrator.
- The email will contain a temporary password, a link to the IAM login page, and instructions for the first login.
- Open Welcome Email: Read the email carefully. Note the temporary password provided.
- Access the Login Page: Click the login link from the welcome email to navigate to the Seamfix-IAM solution’s login page.
- Enter Credentials:
- Input the work email address and the temporary password provided in the welcome email.
- Click Login.
- Change Your Password: Upon first login attempt, users will be prompted to change their password.

Create a new, secure password following the specified guidelines (e.g., minimum length, use of numbers and special characters).

Confirm the new password by entering it again.

Click Submit to save the new password.

Confirmation: You will receive a confirmation message indicating your password has been successfully changed.

Complete Demographic Details:
- User will be prompted to fill in additional demographic details such as your full address and phone number
- Ensure all required fields are completed.
- Review and Confirm:
- Review all your provided information, ensuring it is accurate.
- Once satisfied, click Next to continue setup.

**Setup Security questions: ** The User would be presented a set of security questions to answer and can be updated on their profile once they log in. This is necessary for users without emails as they will be able to provide the answers to the questions to change their password when it is forgotten.

Install Google Authenticator: If not done already, download and install the Google Authenticator app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

Navigate to MFA Setup:
- After changing their password, users will be directed to the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) setup page.
- Google Authenticator is the default MFA method.
- Scan the QR Code:
- A QR code will be displayed on the screen.
- Open the Google Authenticator app on the user's mobile device.
- Tap the + icon and select Scan a QR code.
- Use the phone’s camera to scan the QR code displayed on the user’s computer screen.
- Enter the Verification Code:
- After scanning the QR code, Google Authenticator will generate a 6-digit verification code.
- Enter this code into the designated field on the Seamfix-IAM solution’s MFA setup page.
- Click Verify to confirm.
Backup Codes: You may be provided with a set of backup codes. Store these codes securely, as they can be used if you lose access to your authenticator app.
- Confirmation: A confirmation message will appear indicating that Google Authenticator has been successfully configured for your account.
- Access the Biometric Enrollment Page: After setting up Google Authenticator, users will be directed to enroll their biometric data.
- Face Enrollment:
- Positioning: Sit in a well-lit area with a face clearly visible to the camera.
- Capture Process: Follow the on-screen instructions to align face within the frame.
- Movement: User may be asked to perform certain movements, such as turning their head or blinking, to ensure a thorough scan.
- Confirmation: Once your face is successfully scanned, you will receive a confirmation message. Your facial data is now enrolled.
- Fingerprint Enrollment:
- Device Requirements: Ensure the user's device has a fingerprint scanner. This can be an external scanner.
A web component is needed for the fingerprint capture to be successful. click on 'Download Installer' on the screen to download the required web component
NB: For Windows PCs a java component might also be needed (If not already within the PC) for the web component to works appropriately. Visit https://www.java.com/en/download/ to download the java suitable for your PC
Kindly download the driver for for fingerprint scanner in use
- Select Finger: User will select which finger they would like to enroll and place it on the scanner.
- Capture Process: Follow the prompts to place the finger on the scanner multiple times at different angles until the system captures a complete fingerprint.
- Confirmation: Once complete, you will receive a message confirming that your fingerprint has been successfully enrolled.
- Final Confirmation: You will see a final confirmation screen indicating that your account setup is complete, and your security features (Google Authenticator and Biometrics) are now active.
- Accessing Your Dashboard: Users will be directed to your user dashboard where they can access the applications and services provided by the IAM solution.
Additional Tips:
- Security Reminder: Always keep Google Authenticator codes secure and do not share them with anyone.
- Troubleshooting: If Users encounter any issues during the setup process, refer to the help section or contact system administrator for assistance.
- Backup Information: Store any backup codes or recovery information in a secure location.
