Access Requests

This section explains how users can request access to applications integrated with the IAM solution, ensuring a smooth process for gaining necessary permissions while maintaining security and governance.

  1. Log in to the User Dashboard
  2. After logging in to the Fixiam portal using your credentials, navigate to the Applications section.
  3. Ensure you have the necessary permissions to request applications.
  4. Part of the options on the side navigation is the App Request option
  5. Submit Access Request
  6. Click on the Request Access button at the top right corner of the screen
  1. A form will appear asking for additional details including:
  • Reason for Request: Provide a brief reason why you need access to the application.
  • Request Urgency: Indicate how urgent your access request is (e.g., low, medium, high priority).
  • Approval evidence for the application request (Optional)
  1. After filling out the form, click Submit to send the request to the appropriate approver(s).

📝Applications are assigned only to groups. Although there is an option to choose the users that would need the application on the request form, the Admin will have to either add them to an existing group or create a group for them for the application to be assigned to the group so the user can have access to it.

Notification and Confirmation

  • Once the request is submitted, you will receive a confirmation message that your request has been sent.
  • You will be notified via email or within the Fixiam portal when your request is approved or denied.

Track Access Request Status

  • To check the status of your access request, navigate to the App Requests section of your dashboard.
  • Here, you will see a list of pending requests, along with their current status (e.g., Pending, Approved, Denied).
  • If additional information is required for the approval process, you may be notified and asked to provide further details.
