More Information on Approval Workflow Feature

Managing Maker-Checker Roles

The Maker-Checker structure ensures that no single user can both initiate and approve a task.

Maker Responsibilities:

  • Initiate tasks such as user creation, role assignment, or app access requests.
  • Provide the necessary details and submit for approval.

Checker Responsibilities:

  • Review tasks initiated by the maker.
  • Approve or reject tasks based on validation criteria.
  • Provide reasons in the comment section for any rejected requests.

Multi-Level Approvals

The system supports workflows with multiple approval levels, enhancing security and oversight.

How to Create Multi-Level Approvals:

  • While creating a workflow, add multiple approvers for a single task.
  • Example: A user creation request can go to an HR manager first, and then to the IT admin.

Notification System:

  • The system will notify each approver when action is required.
  • Escalations can be configured if an approver exceeds the SLA.

Role and Permission Management

Assigning Roles:

  • Go to the Role Management section in settings.
  • Assign users to roles (Maker, Checker) to define who can approve specific workflows.

Permission Settings:

  • Define who has the authority to create workflows and who can approve them at each level.
