Approval Workflows and Handling Access Requests
This section outlines the approval workflows and processes for handling user access requests within the Fixiam solution. Admins and managers can review and approve or deny requests to maintain security and appropriate access control.
Notification of Access Request
- When a user submits an access request for a specific application, the designated approver (e.g., admin, manager, or application owner) will receive a notification via email and the Fixiam dashboard.
- The request will appear in the Pending Requests section of the dashboard.
Reviewing the Access Request
- As the approver, log in to the Fixiam portal and navigate to the Apps Requests section.
- You will see a list of all access requests, including details such as:
- User Name: The name of the user requesting access.
- Requested Application: The name of the application for which access is being requested.
- Reason for Request: The justification provided by the user for needing access.
- Request Urgency: The urgency level indicated by the user.
Evaluate the Request
- Review the user’s request details, considering the business need, the sensitivity of the application, and the user’s role in the organization.
- Check the user's current access permissions to avoid granting duplicate or unnecessary access.
Approval or Denial of Access
- Based on your evaluation, select one of the following actions:
- Approve: Grant the user access to the application. The user will be automatically notified of the approval.
- Deny: Reject the request. Optionally, provide a reason for the denial, which will be sent to the user.
Post-Approval Access Provisioning
- Once the access request is approved, the Fixiam system will automatically provision the necessary permissions for the user.
- The user will be notified and can immediately access the application.
